DoingThe Math

Back in high school I had this friend who would spend ungodly amounts of money for clothes . I recall one purchase when he bought a Ralph Lauren Polo sweater costing a hair raising $395.00 (US) not including taxes.

I remember watching him counting out the cash and thinking, this guy is under the influence of some yet to be named drug - no doubt.

Back in the day you could go out for nearly a month with $395.00 bucks. Keep in mind I went to high school back in the 80's when gas was $0.65 per gallon, feel what I'm saying?

A few years ago I had a business meeting that took me to my home town of Kansas City, Missouri. I made a point to have lunch with my old classmate who I hadn't spent any real time with in nearly twenty years.

Arriving at the restaurant, there stood Andy holding court at the bar. Andy was the type of guy people wanted to be seen with, the guy just had that special something. One other thing, Andy is a big time real estate investor now, thought you like to know.

I'll pick this story up later...
